• compliance with data governance and legal requirements data never leaves a region without your explicit permisson
• Proximity to customers : reduced latency
• Available services within a Region: new services and new features aren’t available in every Region
• Pricing : pricin varies region to region and is transparent in the service pricing page

AWS Availability Zones

• each region has many availability zones (주로 3개 ,min 2 , max 6)
• each availability zone is one or more discrete data centers with redundant power, networking ,and connectivity 각각의 가용가능 존은 구별되어있는 데이터 센타와 네트워킹 등등을 가지고있음
• they’re separate from eath other, so that they’re isolated from disasters 각각 분리시켜서 재난에 대비

가장 가까운 리전을 선택하면 지연시간이 가장 적다.
